On this page I will save room for random cool things I see that don’t really have to do with anything, but that I think are worthy of mentioning.

- This chain really needs to come to the U.S. Or better yet, my friends and I can buy up all the merchandise and sell it in the U.S. to the fanatic consumers:

- At Kamakura, I saw this at a Zen Buddhist temple, adorning every single roof post:
Any Zelda fans out there? I bet the Pegasus Boots or something equally cool were inside.
- Also at Kamakura, after seeing the giant Buddha statue, we checked out a little shop. This was posted outside:
… just not very well. The place was famous for “Daibutsu-udon,” or Buddha noodles. Basically they were basic, actually pretty bland noodles topped with a “Buddha” face (made of two halves of a boiled egg and a pickle).

- A sweet Japanese guy from the next town over joined a group of us in sketchily hanging out in front of the Seven Eleven in Nikko, a little way from our inn. We were loitering, eating, and drinking, and he came up and joined us. He said his name was “Jerry,” which I don’t believe for a second, and was hilariously impressed when we said anything, either in English or Japanese. He really seemed drunk, but who knows? He also had sweet dreads.

i did not know dreads were a popular hair style over in japan…or that jerry was a popular name….but yeah baseball cheerleaders ehh
is that pikachu? only large?
you bet it is.
